So...in Blender if you create a nicely UV-mapped object, run the game engine, then it just appears as 'dots' -- you may need to change the 'material' on that object to 'texface' -- then you will see your UV-mapped images!
OR you may have some texture faces whose "normal" points away from teh camera--i.e. typically only one side gets the UV Map. To fix go to Make sure to select and export only the new mesh for Ogre. ... select the face in "UV Face Select" mode and set it to "Two Sided" via the "Face->Active Draw ... (From blender.org, I think--google for it)
